EOM coming up this Sunday 3-18-2012

WKBZ radio promo:
Hi, This is Jim Riley, your host of Eye On Muskegon every Sunday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 and on the internet at eyeonmuskegon.com
Dang it, Muskegon county government is in the news again.
And for all the wrong reasons, again.
Two county prosecutors fired.
The county sheriff under a cloud.
And accusations that it's all purely political.
We'll take a closer look at what's going on downtown this Sunday on NewsTalk 1090 WKBZ, the Talk of Muskegon.

Thursday, March 15, 2012

We still meet at Carmen's Cafe most Tues. and Thurs.

Don't forget, we still meet most Tues. and Thurs. from 2:00-3:15 at Carmen's Cafe (878 Jefferson/Clay) in, airy and open, downtown Muskegon.
We'll talk about what's going on in our county, Muskegon.
Everyone is invited.

MuskegonPundit: Muskegon County set to consider larger community role in transportation

MuskegonPundit: Muskegon County set to consider larger community role in transportation
Our county is beyond broke. ($100 million in unfunded employee pension/benefits)
They tell us their #1 issue is a new jail.
There is no money for a new jail.
But plenty of "free" money for $1000 iPads and free internet for the county commissioners.
And now it seems there is plenty of money for new buses and an entire new "mobility coordinator" and staff.
And every county commissioner will vote for this new spending today.
How dumb are we to allow this never ending spending?

Radio promo for EOM show 3-11-12

Hi, This is Jim Riley, your host of Eye On Muskegon every Sunday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 and on the internet at eyeonmuskegon.com

Sadly, the school system judged the worst in our entire state, Muskegon Heights, is bankrupt and in the hands the emergency manager.

Well focus on that disaster and our statewide education mess with author, FoxNews contributor and EducationActionGroup founder, Muskegon's own, Klye Olson.

We'll dig deep for possible solutions and examine just how your tax dollars are really being spent, this Sunday on NewsTalk 1090 WKBZ, the Talk of Muskegon.

EyeOnMuskegon this Sunday 3-4-12

EyeOnMuskegon has an excellent show planned for this Sunday March 4.
Guest host John VanWyck and I will first examine the nifty new iPads you taxpayers just bought for EVERY Muskegon county commissioner.
You, know, the iPad you don't have because they're so expensive.
Well, you bought one anyway, but you just can't use it cuz your county commissioner took it.
Next we'll interview Jack Spencer, Capitol affairs specialist for Michigan Capitol Confidential, a news service of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.
We'll focus on the outrageous $28 million (and counting) union ripoff of home daycare and healthcare providers.
This SEIU "dues skim" ought to disgust even longtime union supporters.
This Sunday 8:30-10:00 on EyeOnMuskegon, WKBZ 1090AM radio.
Also livestream on smartphones and computers at newstalk1090.com, anywhere in the galaxy!
Tune in or call in this Sunday!

Sunday March 4 radio promo

Hi, This is Jim Riley, your host of Eye On Muskegon every Sunday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 and on the internet at eyeonmuskegon.com
Our county leaders tell us we need to pony up more of our hard earned dollars for a new jail but they've been able to divert scarce tax dollars to buy new iPads, you know, the iPad you can't afford, well our county leaders bought em for every county commissioner.
With all the expensive trimmings.
We'll try to find out what the heck is going on this Sunday on NewsTalk 1090 WKBZ, the Talk of Muskegon.
